Vung Bau Beach

Vung Bau Beach, also being known as Bai Vung Bau, is located on the north west coast of Phu Quoc facing the Gulf of Thailand. Vung Bau Beach is just south of Dai Beach. Some of the locals call this beach the half-moon beach as it resembles the shape of a crescent. Vung Bau Beach is approximately 4.5km coastal filled with dark yellow sand and coconut palm trees. On this remote beach, one can easily sight the Hon Mon Tay (Fingernail Island) off the coast which has a good reef for snorkeling.

Most of its shore is uninhabited but one still can find a few mid-range resorts offering the simple layback lifestyle. There are also thick tall grass and vegetation growing close to the shore which makes one want to bring a book and read on the beach. This is definitely a beach ideal for tourist who is looking for serenity due to its remoteness.
